Hrvoje Ivovic was born in Belgrade in 1988. He acquired his elementary and secondary musical education at the Music School “Mokranjac” in the class of Prof. Milica Vasiljevic. In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Musical Art, University of Belgrade, in the class of Prof. Maja Rajkovic, and went on to complete his Master studies in 2013 at the University of Music in Freiburg, Germany in the class of Polish pianist Prof. Elza Kolodin.
He is a recipient of numerous awards at domestic and international competitions. He has performed both as a solo and chamber musician in Belgrade (the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, the atrium of the National Museum, Artget gallery, the Student Cultural Centre) and other cities across Serbia, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Germany, France and Israel. In 2009, he participated at the VI Belgrade International Cello Festival with violoncellist Sandra Belic, and in March of 2012, he successfully performed together with violoncellist Nemanja Stankovic at the Banquet Hall of the City of Belgrade’s Parliament Building, as part of the “Jugokoncert” season. Especially renowned were his solo concerts held at the Grand Halls of the Alexandria and Cairo Opera Houses in Egypt in 2014.
He has attended courses by Professors Jose Ribera, Alexander Mndoyants, Tomer Lev, Emanuel Krasovsky, Jean Francois Antonioli, Arbo Valdma, Nevena Popovic and Aleksandar Serdar.
He is currently employed as piano accompanist at the “Stankovic” School of Music in Belgrade, within the section for solo singing, and as Repetiteur for drama and solo performances at the Terazije Theatre in Belgrade.
